WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

EOHHS* 101
*Executive Office of Health and Human Services

February 1, 2017
6:30-8:30 pm

Who is EOHHS and what do they do? This workshop will empower participants and attendees with a basic and comprehensive understanding of this division of the Massachusetts state government, the Governor’s cabinet and his relationship to the Secretary of EOHHS, as well as how money collected through taxes and then divvied up and distributed through the Department of Developmental Services. This presentation will be particularly helpful for families who are concerned about the budget crisis here in Massachusetts and would like to take an active role in increasing the money in the respective DDS budgets.

This workshop will be presented by O. Sophia Johansson, Northeast Regional Coordinator and Chair of the Board of Massachusetts Families Organizing for Change.

O. Sophia Johansson is both a child and parent to an individual with disabilities. She is passionate about helping families to “imagine better” and empower them to support their loved ones in leading exceptional and enviable lives.
